But you're not alone: it has become a common place to dismiss "Transformer" as 'commercial' or 'minor' Reed while praising the overrated and supposedly 'important' "Berlin" (which I like but is almost as irritantly infatuated as "Magic & loss" or Reed's recent pompous works on Poe or on 'meditation'). A matter of taste, as I always say? In this case I'm not so sure, maybe it is a matter of prejudice: you are a rock writer and this glamorous collection of 'ambiguous' and 'decadent' songs may not be your cup of tea, but they are beautifully crafted and funny and catchy and still resonate four decades on for many of us. Along with "Coney Island Baby", "Take no prisoners", "The blue mask" & "New York", my favourite Lou Reed album.

Anyway, who cares? I'll keep dancing, singing and reading whatever you write, even if I disagree more and more.

Saludos de España,
NachoAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7621501513493185029.post-87357746635859698472011-06-25T22:06:58.049-04:002011-06-25T22:06:58.049-04:00Really?
