I was all of 15 and it WAS very Beatle -like in its intent. I remember having a friend I wrote to in Philadelphia (I lived outside of Rochester, NY) and I expressed that I liked the Monkees and he expressed horror at them, preferring R&B (and he was my age and white also). In a couple of years I was deep into Frank Zappa and This Lp sat unplayed for 15 years. Of course, I am still a Nesmith fanatic, his switch to country rock coinciding with my journey into American Roots music in the early 70s as I left Top 40 and Prog behind to seek the simplicity I could myself play on guitar.Duncanmusichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13851644219536584126noreply@blogger.com
