When he did emerge musically, it was with the low-key John Wesley Harding, a sharp contrast to the electric sound and lyrics of the previous three albums (Bringing It All Back Home, Highway 61 Revisited, Blonde On Blonde). The albums after the accident weren't (at the time) considered very revolutionary, disappointing those looking for the imagery on those last few pre-crash albums.
So when Planet Waves came out, recorded with the same band with whom he was touring when he last sounded like that, it was A Big Deal.wardohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07825405583474881509noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7621501513493185029.post-77796976708198762192009-06-29T13:41:45.188-04:002009-06-29T13:41:45.188-04:00this is a great album, my favorite bob dylan album...this is a great album, my favorite bob dylan album. i have them all plus about 3000 bootlegs and i still think this is the best of the bunch.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7621501513493185029.post-66724677487740223322009-06-29T13:29:54.013-04:002009-06-29T13:29:54.013-04:00Who says it is an 'incorrect peace symbol'...Who says it is an 'incorrect peace symbol'? Dylan rarely does anything without thoughtfulness, even at this stage of his career, and the cover is hardly intended to be THAT obvious. You might as readily describe the 'symbol' at the top of the picture as an anchor embedded into Bob's head, and that would be just as 'meaningful'.inthealleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11598936977447139845noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7621501513493185029.post-36188814988994522132009-06-29T11:18:53.153-04:002009-06-29T11:18:53.153-04:00It still blows my mind that Dylan drew an incorrec...It still blows my mind that Dylan drew an incorrect peace symbol on the cover.
